Joli means “beautiful” in French — and we’re building a more beautiful way to book beauty services in San Francisco.

The Joli Story

Joli was founded by Nabiha Ahsan after she noticed how frustratingly difficult it was to book quality beauty services that come to you in San Francisco. Between scattered Instagram DMs, unreliable scheduling, and no easy way to vet providers, the experience was broken for both customers and beauty professionals.

So she built Joli — a two-sided marketplace that connects San Francisco residents with vetted, background-checked beauty professionals for in-home and in-studio appointments. Hair, nails, lashes, brows, makeup, facials, massage, waxing — all bookable in a few taps.

The name Joli means “beautiful” in French, and it captures what we’re about: making professional beauty services accessible, convenient, and delightful.
